Praise Obayelu
Praise has been a social worker for several years but worked in a different sector to social work prior to this. She graduated in 2017 with an undergraduate degree in Law. Having worked in the legal sector, Praise decided that she wanted to work with people in local communities. She moved to Manchester in 2018 and worked with Asylum seeking children, whilst studying for a master’s in international development and volunteering with the local Youth Justice Team.
Praise first came into social work in 2021 when she started on a Social Work graduate programme and was based in Manchester. She has worked in Child in need, Child Protection and Looked after Children’s Teams in both Manchester and Birmingham.
Her experience working with children, who are looked after, has meant that she has a different outlook on fostering and will bring this into her role.
