Why did you want to work at St Christopher’s?

I have worked in the Charity Sector for the major part of my career. I absolutely believe in supporting those in need, such as children and young people, with my skills and expertise. I believe it is my way of giving back to the society. I believe in St Christopher’s vision, mission and values as it is paramount that young people are loved, happy and safe; as well as have brighter future. I am really delighted to be part of this vision.

What do you enjoy about your job?

I enjoy working with numbers, building relationships and producing reports to enable stakeholders and management to make meaningful and informed decisions. So far, it’s been great meeting new people and supporting with the overall goal and vision of St Christopher’s through our finance department.

What other development opportunities have you had?

I have been with my team for a couple of months, I have been well supported to engage and carry out my role. It’s been very interesting to learn about the day to day operations in finance and the organisation. It is still early days and I am still getting to know more people and services across the whole charity.

What is next in your career?

My goal is to acquaint myself fully with the organisation and make a positive impact across the board with my skills and expertise and further grow professionally in my field.

What would you say to someone interested/ looking to join the profession?

It has been quite fulfilling to be part of this great vision. The finance department is a great place to make an impact for the charity by interacting and supporting different stakeholders and services.
